A poll for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada finds 68% of respondents would feel helpless if they or a loved one were given a blood cancer diagnosis. The class of illnesses includes leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma or Hodgkin's disease. The survey also suggests just one-in-four people believe there are sufficient services in place for blood cancer patients. The society will launch a campaign beginning to call attention to blood cancers and provide information about resources and programs offered to patients and their families.
