NL Health Services introduces Halo telemonitoring technology in four acute care hospitals, healthcare centres

Developed by the University Health Network in Toronto, Halo uses a portable camera with audiovisual communication to remotely monitor patients and alert care providers to potential health risks. This technology aims to enhance patient safety by allowing healthcare professionals to provide more personalized and attentive care. Telemonitoring has been used in hospitals across Canada to reduce falls and adverse events.
