CIHI, HEC collaboration to enhance use of data to improve healthcare system

Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC) and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) signed a letter of intent to enhance the use of data for quality improvement and informed decision-making, which are priorities for Canada's pandemic recovery. The four areas to support health system improvements are:

  1. Building an enhanced support model for data access;
  2. Advancing quality and safe care in shared priority areas;
  3. Aligning stakeholder engagement; and
  4. Addressing anti-Indigenous-specific racism and cultural safety.
