The Healthy Populations Institute at Dalhousie worked with the university’s Cancer Care Program to create the snapshots. They’re said to be the first knowledge products from a study to profile community-level cancer risk and how it relates to the social and material conditions in which people live. The snapshots aim to inform the development of a sustainable cancer prevention strategy and will be used by the Cancer Care Program, the larger heath system and chronic disease partners, government and communities.
