N.B. company's video game aimed at helping youth with anxiety, mental-health issues

N.B.-based Reframe Games has been testing its Guide video game with nine to 13-year-olds at eight clinics in the province to assess whether its effective in helping them cope with anxiety issues. It will examine the data after the trials and plans to release the game to the public, with the goal of launching a similar game for other mental health issues. Reframe Games then plans to develop a platform to host several games supporting mental health in young people - including its own games and those made by other groups. Guide teaches children how to cope with anxiety by showing them coping mechanisms that can be applied to real-world situations.
