Quebec doctors opting to use private online appointment system

The Quebec government rolled out a publicly-funded website for patients to book appointments with a medical practitioner in 2017. However, it would appear that many doctors prefer the Bonjour-Santé private platform that charges patients $20 to search for available appointments. A spokesperson for a Quebec physicians group, the FMSQ, says the public system is both unproven and incompatible with many clinics' electronic booking systems.
