Health P.E.I. to implement self-serve admitting kiosks to speed up process

The QE II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax successfully put in kiosks in 2011. Now, Health P.E.I. is looking to implement self-serve admitting kiosks at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown and Prince County Hospital in Summerside. Health P.E.I. met with union representatives and hospital management met with admitting staff about the initiative and it expects to continue meeting and updating staff on the project. Health P.E.I. noted hospitals are looking at opportunities to introduce technology that supports efficiency and the patient experience.
