Colo.-based Sopris Health's app records a doctor visit, then downloads the audio file into its cloud transcription software, which can understand context and medical terminology and separate information such as lab tests and treatment plans. To ensure the software is accurately translating the visit, Sopris Health employs people to review visit documents against recordings. The AI-enabled technology, dubbed "intelligent clinical operations," is focused on orthopedic practices for now, while the app integrates with most U.S. EHRs.
