The federal government's budget allocated $75 million for a seniors pilot project. The funding, tabled in the 2018 budget, will be provided through the Public Health Agency of Canada in support of New Brunswick’s Healthy Seniors Pilot Project, aimed at helping other governments address their aging populations. Finance Minister Cathy Rogers said there are already a number of partners interested in joining the pilot. New Brunswick has the fastest-growing population of people over the age of 65 in the country.
