Amazon's Alexa will provide ER wait times to Alberta residents

Alberta Health Services says ER wait times will be available for users of Amazon's Alexa technology. The AHS Alexa Skill app will provide wait estimates for hospitals in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge. AHS claims it's the first public healthcare organization in the country to use the mobile technology in this way and says it's working on a similar service for Google Home users and Apple’s HomePod. AHS also publishes these wait times online.
