The social media campaign by the Minnesota-based non-profit revolves around patient experience - both positive and negative - and includes articles written by patients and their caregivers. Experts by Experience is a partnership between the Mayo Clinic and healthcare social network Inspire. It will include posts from patients and caregivers from across the globe, and has three goals:

  1. To educate providers using first-hand stories of patients' experiences;
  2. To offer a look into a "day in the life" for patients or caregivers dealing with certain conditions; and
  3. To provide opportunities for quality improvement.
