Committee to consult residents of B.C. municipality on how they wish to be consulted

Oak Bay's Mayor's Task Force on Community Engagement will deliver public forums and report back to council with a final report including public feedback. Discussion around public engagement at a September council meeting in the B.C. municipality resulted in a number of different viewpoints being expressed by councillors around the role of engagement and preferred type. Given the differing views on how best to proceed with community engagement within the confines of council restrictions and staff resources, the Mayor’s Task Force will be asking the public what they think.
