Newfoundland doctor opens province's first virtual clinic Medicuro

The Newfoundland doctor says his company, Medicuro, is the province's first virtual health clinic. He’ll charge patients $49 dollars on a weekday or $99 for an overnight appointment. Personal memberships ($359/year) and family memberships ($579/Year) include unlimited visits and consultations. The doctor has put together a team comprised of one other doctor, a nurse, a social worker and a nurse practitioner for his new venture. The venture is said to be similiar to the publicly funded telemedicine system that connects parts of coastal Labrador, and already exists in Ontario and B.C.
