Research finds Canadians place spending time with family, friends foremost in promoting wellness

A global report from GfK suggests 68% of Canadians value spending time with family, friends or pets most highly in maintaining their physical health. Other health-related activities cited by Canadians included:

  • Eating healthy nutritious foods (65%);
  • Getting enough sleep (63%); and
  • Exercising (59%).

GfK notes that the rates of those activities decreased from 2014 levels, adding other wellness initiative increased in popularity, such as taking a break from technology, following a specific diet and using holistic or alternative therapies.
