The owner of two nursing homes in New Brunswick says the eChart Healthcare app provides families access to regularly-updated information about their loved ones' lives and health. Staff enter data for each resident, including medical charts, past history, a medical appointments schedule and do not resuscitate orders. The developer notes that families can discover what time their loved one was last checked on, who did the check and if they were participating in a group activity. So far, the app is only available at selected nursing homes in New Brunswick but the developer hopes to market the technology to other care homes in the future.
