University of Manitoba launches training program to ensure culturally safe care for Indigenous patients

The University of Manitoba launched a new training program called 'We Will Take Good Care of the People' (Giga Mino Ganawenimaag Anishinaabeg) aimed at ensuring Indigenous patients receive culturally safe care. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to address racism, foster culturally safe environments, and improve Indigenous health outcomes. The program will engage healthcare providers with the expertise of local Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and involve front-line workers in various activities and reflections.
