The federal government is dedicating nearly $2.5 million to support the vitality of official language minority communities in Yukon by enhancing access to French language healthcare services. The 'Leveraging technology to increase access to health care services in French in the Yukon' project will receive the funds over five years. It aims to establish a data collection strategy to identify patients' preferred language of service and create a digital solutions strategy to implement innovative tools for better access to French health services. This initiative will involve the collaboration of Canadian Heritage, Health Canada and the Government of Yukon.
