P.E.I. continues healthcare work-life improvement project

P.E.I. Minister of Health and Wellness Mark McLane is initiating the second phase of the Focus on the Frontline initiative in Oct. to meet with healthcare staff across the province, focusing on community healthcare. The first phase involved meetings with over 104 staff members and an additional 114 employees providing feedback online, which led to enhanced security in acute care facilities, more virtual primary care options and expanded Health Innovation Fund eligibility. The upcoming engagement with healthcare professionals is aimed at further guiding healthcare planning and improvements in the province.
