The N.S. government is investing $42 million over five years to enhance access to health information using Google Cloud's search tools and AI. The initiative includes three projects aimed at improving the health system's online information searchability and reducing administrative tasks for doctors. The technology, similar to that used by the Mayo Clinic and Telus Health, will allow users to ask health-related questions in a conversational manner through the Nova Scotia Health website and the YourHealthNS app. The patient search program is expected to launch in the fall.
