Gen X, Millennials more likely to develop 17 types of cancer than older generations, American Cancer Society reports

Rates of 17 different kinds of cancer, including breast, pancreatic, ovarian and colorectal, were as much as three times higher among the younger generation compared to Baby Boomers. Other studies linked many of those cancers to obesity, which rose sharply over the past several decades. Researchers suspect other factors, including lack of exercise and the consumption of unhealthy foods, may have played a role in the rising rates of these cancers.
