B.C. group releases playbook of proposed solutions to healthcare crisis

The authors of the Community Healthcare System Support Playbook believe it has the potential to fix healthcare in communities across B.C. and the country. The playbook addresses problems such as how healthcare employees can do shift work if they don’t have daycare or where can a nurse live in a new community if there’s a housing crisis. Solutions include municipalities and developers working together to build housing units set aside for medical professionals at an affordable rate. Another measure would be establishing 24-hour daycare and transit services.
