The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) says melanoma rates are increasing and it represents the largest increase of any cancer, particularly in males. The CCS estimates there will be about 11,300 new melanoma cases and about 1,300 new deaths in 2024. However, while case numbers are going up, mortality rates are going down.
