CMA partnering with Healthcare Excellence Canada on program to reduce physicians' administrative burdens

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA), MD Financial Management and Scotiabank established the $10-million Health Care Unburdened Grant program to reduce the administrative burden on physicians. The group estimates its members spend an additional 10 hours on paperwork and other tasks per week. The CMA got over 230 applications for the grants, which range from $500,000 to $1 million each. To assist with the program, Healthcare Excellence Canada was brought in for its expertise in coaching, focused learning activities, networking and knowledge-sharing.
