Statistics Canada says the population of N.B. surpassed 850,000, up from 800,000 in 2022. The report indicates three-quarters of the province's population growth was from interprovincial migration. The remaining 25% growth was made up of permanent movers to N.B., including permanent residents and excluding non-citizens who have temporary work or study permits. The province’s growth rate is on par with the national rate of 9% but analysts say it’s hard to know whether that’ll continue.
