A Sask. pilot program will see health clinics be independently operated, publicly funded and staffed by nurse practitioners (NPs). The program will expand the role of NPs throughout the healthcare system, and further opportunities to expand their role even further are being examined. The province is also adding 25 NP positions over the next year.
