Horizon Health Network says the appointments, which are not walk-in appointments, must be booked by phone and are available Monday to Thursday. Horizon believes by offering people the option to self-refer, it’ll alleviate some of the pressures in the ERs and support those who don’t have a family physician or primary healthcare provider. A limited waitlist will also be created for patients who can attend on short notice in the event of cancellations.
