U.K. rolls out national strategy to reduce number of suicides

The U.K. government pledges to reduce England’s suicide rate within two-and-a-half years with a national suicide prevention strategy. The strategy includes more than 100 measures, including a national alert system to combat emerging methods of suicide and refreshed guidance for first responders. The plan also sets out to grow the mental health workforce by 74% by FY 2036-2037.
