Black healthcare provider directory aims to improve access to practitioners for Black Canadians

The directory, which also aims to build a network between professionals, was created by the Black Healthcare Professionals Network. After healthcare providers sign up for the directory, their contact information is on the website and patients can contact them directly. The goal is for the directory to include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, psychotherapists, dietitians, massage therapists and other practitioners. Research shows for Black people, healthcare outcomes can be dependent on the race of both the provider and the patient.
