Manitoba to put $13M toward reimbursing physicians for licensure fees over next two years

The investment comes on the heels of a recruitment push as the province attempts to integrate more staff into its healthcare system and to improve their workplace environment. An additional $350,000 will be used to give doctors access to Cortext, a messaging platform that connects staff to collaborate on diagnostic and treatment decisions. It’ll be rolled out later this month. Doctors Manitoba warned that over half of the province's physicians are considering retiring, leaving the province or cutting hours.
