To be sure the province will benefit from the investment, the scholarships will be offered through a return of service agreement with the students. They'll have to commit to working in the province for at least one year following graduation. As part of the five-year commitment, the scholarships can assist about 60 students annually. The dollar amount ranges from $5,000 to $10,000 and the scholarships are available for any N.B. resident studying in the field, even if their school is located outside of the province.
