PatientTrak provides clinical teams with an overview of the number of patients in the various areas of the ED in real time (triage, registration, waiting room) and informs their decisions. As patients arrive at an ED, they’re entered into the system to record wait time, health concern and status. As the data’s entered at various stages of a patient’s visit, it’s available on a centrally located digital whiteboard which can be accessed from any computer in the ED, such as details about treatments already received and what’s pending. In the past, staff had to check a physical whiteboard and/or log into the clinical information system to access patient information.
