Health P.E.I. has been working with Skip the Waiting Room to offer the platform to book medical services such as vaccinations and COVID-19 tests. The platform will now allow people to find available appointments and schedule blood collection and specimen collection. Patients will need a requisition form from a doctor or NP to schedule an appointment. The health authority said the service will expand to all community sites in the fall. The platform’s already in use in many provinces, including N.B., where the service is used to book appointments at walk-in clinics.
