Doctors Nova Scotia says family physicians are increasingly finding their role in the province's healthcare system undervalued and potentially marginalized. The document represents the first time a Canadian professional medical association publishes a position paper on the role and value of family physicians. It highlights what it calls the "unique role and value of family physicians," amid an ongoing doctor shortage in the province. DNS has concurrently made available its environmental scan.
