Massachusetts provider gives orthopedic app to surgery patients to improve recovery process, decrease ED visits

The Trusted Patient Coach app is being used by Southcoast Health hospitals to let patient or a designated family member communicate with their provider as they're preparing for a procedure. After discharge, clinicians monitor their patients’ condition and care plan compliance through a daily survey of 12 questions. Patients are also asked to report the medications they take every day. Patients or their coach can ask questions through the app.
