Telus Health says the technical glitches affected users of its Med Access software in Alberta, B.C., N.L., N.S., Ontario and Saskatchewan over a one-year period ending in Nov. of 2018. Seventy percent of the patients affected were in N.L. Telus Health states that during a software update, it was noticed that some physicians were prevented from viewing clinical reports on the EMR. That coding issue was rectified and the company believes that no urgent test results fell through the cracks as jurisdictions have protocols in place to directly notify physicians in those cases.
