Cindy Donovan, Loch Lomond Villa's CEO in Saint John, N.B., was recognized with a Planetree Visionary Leadership Award at the Planetree conference in Boston. The award is given to those identified as being transformational and Donovan cites her success from the villa's adoption of Planetree's model of person-centred care. The villa was also presented with the Planetree Innovation Award for its use of therapeutic measures as a means to reduce dependency of anti-psychotic medications for patients suffering with dementia.
