Infoway's e-prescribing service a year old; 1,500 prescribers signed up

Infoway says 1,500 physicians and 29 community pharmacies in Ontario and Alberta signed up for PrescribeIT in its first year. The system enables prescriptions to be transmitted electronically by integrating with EHRs and pharmacy management systems. Infoway says agreements are in place with nine provinces and territories, which will support its ongoing expansion plans for the system.
